Junior Mendelssohn Choir celebrates 'Perfect Pairings' on Nov. 23

Perfect Pairings, this Fall's Junior Mendelssohn Choir Concert celebrates the ensemble's long-term relationships with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and with co-founder Robert Page.  The afternoon program--scheduled for November 23 at Westminster Presbyterian in Upper St. Clair--pairs the Mozart Missa Brevis in D, k. 194 (performed with the Academy Chamber Orchestra) and Kodaly's Missa Brevis, performed on organ by James Burns.    Click for details...

The Library of Congress has invited us to perform in Washington D.C.  Enjoy our chamber chorus’s special local preview performance featuring the music of Mendelssohn, Handel, Haydn and a new commission by Andrew Rindfleisch.  

Bask in the most glorious music composed for the Russian Orthodox church. Experience the unadorned Mendelssohn singing this a cappella masterpiece as the grand finale of our centennial celebration!

OnQ- The Mendelssohn Choir's 100th AnniversaryWQED-TV's OnQ takes a look at the region's oldest continually operating performing arts group, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. Part of a year-long Pittsburgh 250 celebration, this 10-minute feature celebrates the Choir's 100th anniversary with looks back from members, conductor emeritus Robert Page, and music director Betsy Burleigh.
