Beethoven’s “Fidelio”

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra perform a concert version of Ludwig van Beethoven’s opera Fidelio, conducted by PSO Music Director Manfred Honeck.  Fidelio is Beethoven’s only opera, and tells the story of Leonore, disguised as a prison guard named Fidelio, saves her husband who is unjustly imprisoned for political crimes.
