We All Sing

We All Sing

A celebration of music as the universal language that unites us all. Begins at 3PM.

About the event

When we’re happy, when we’re sad, when we celebrate life or death . . . we sing. Singing brings us together regardless of age, language, or life circumstances. It is something we have known since we first discovered the first musical instrument — the human voice. And when we sing with one another, we create music that transcends anything we could do by ourselves. Join MCP in a program that exalts why we sing and what we sing for, featuring music by historical composers including Bach, Copland, and Randall Thompson; contemporary voices such as Adolphus Hailstork, Melanie DeMore, and Abbie Betinis; and the poetry of Walt Whitman, Jane Griner, and Rev. Arthur Graham. And when we say, “we all sing,” we mean it! Music Director Daniel Singer will teach and lead you in two numbers so you can join our chorus in joyous song.
