MCP wraps up a busy December with three successful performances
The Mendelssohn Choir finished up the 2024 calendar year with three performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra: Fauré Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and the perennial favorite, the Highmark Holiday Pops. MCP was praised for their “precision, unity, and tone” during Messiah, while Bachtrack lauded the choir for their “astute blend” during Brahms’ Schicksalslied. As for the Highmark Holiday Pops, the performance struck just the right tone to fill Heinz Hall with the sounds of the season and holiday cheer.
