The Mendelssohn Choir Welcomes Ryan Keeling as Assistant Conductor

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that Ryan Keeling will be serving as Assistant Conductor for the Choir.  Ryan is a former Core Tenor for the MCP, and has been heard as a soloist in the MCP’s March 2012 performance of Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor.

Ryan is Assistant Director of Music and Worship Life at Christ United Methodist Church, Artistic Director of Voces Solis, Conductor of Duquesne University’s Pappert Men’s Chorale, and Music Director and Principle Conductor of OvreArts where he conducts the OvreArts Sinfonia and is the founding conductor of the OvreArts Chamber Singers.

Ryan was recently Director of Choral Music at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, and adjunct faculty member at West Liberty University where he taught voice, choir, and music appreciation. Ryan holds the M.M. degree in Choral Conducting from East Carolina University, the B.A. degree in Music Education from West Liberty University, and is pursuing the D.M.A. degree in Conducting at West Virginia University.
